Had extra time in study hall, so I thought I'd do some design stuff. Probably gonna use this as the site logo. Let me know what you guys think!

Ok, sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been slightly bogged down with western thought papers, but I'm done with those, now. For western thought, we've been analyzing/comparing Plato and Aristotle, which is insane. I'm understanding my math classes pretty well, and we have a quiz tomorrow, so I should be fine on that. English and debate are fun, we've been discussing some political issues, and the pros and cons of each side. Biology is fine, just a normal science class, nothing crazy going on there. So yeah, that's been my week. Keep watching for more updates!

Update!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I thought I had posted this, but I saw that I forgot to, so here it is. The past week has been eventful to say the least. On Wednesday of last week, lots of people were sick with Norwalk, or "narwhal" as we all called it. Basically, lots of people were throwing up all over the place. Eventually, the school made the call to shut down. It was the beginning of math class and one of the school administrators came in and told us classes had been cancelled. From there we were instructed to go into our dorms and pack up our stuff, because we were being sent home. On the way, there was a ton of traffic, some of which was standstill traffic. Overall, the car trip was a story in and of itself, and I don't have time to write about it. Anyways, I saw my friends from my old school, saw church friends, and hung out with my family. It was a nice, though unexpected break, thankfully, I didn't get sick, and let's hope that doesn't happen again.

Forget What You Think You Know

So today was the first day of normal classes. At the end of the day, I have accelerated algebra, which is basically a college level algebra class. The teacher for that class is an older middle eastern guy who is a complete genius. Today, he taught us about numbers, literally. He started by asking us what real numbers are. We all gave fair answers to his question, my answer was that real numbers are numbers that are not imaginary, which is true. He then proceeded to grill me about imaginary numbers (which, by the way we won't cover for another month.) until I second guessed myself on something that I had right. After explaining to the group what real numbers are, he talked about the history of numbers until class ended. This left everyone with the feeling that we were really lost. On a better note, though, I did confirm everything that I thought about imaginary numbers with the google machine. I guess that the point here is that even if the super smart guy shuts you down, take comfort in the fact that google knows you're right.

So Many Classes

Well, I'm all moved in to my dorm, and getting accustomed to dorm life. the food here is good for the most part, but eating drive thru food would be more fresh than the eggs I ate this morning for breakfast. There was an activity time today, where we could play basketball, Frisbee, soccer, and beanbag toss, which my roommate and I excel at. Regarding my schedule, I have more control over it than I have ever had. For example, for the next couple of days I will be able to drop and add electives. I currently need to add debate and a P.E. class to my schedule, which shouldn't be a problem. The only thing that I'm worried about is the winter and spring term math classes. I'm scheduled to take Geometry 1 and Trigonometry during winter term, then Geometry 2 and Pre-Calculus during spring term. Honestly, as long as I don't procrastinate, I should be fine. Other than that, I'm pretty confident about all of my classes. School is great so far! More updates and pictures to come later.

Ok, so today is move in day for ASMS. We went over by church for a minute, and said bye to my church friends. Afterwards, my family and I hit the road to Mobile, and that's where we are now! More updates to come later!
